Dear Family and Friends,

We are greatly saddened to announce the death of Louis Meltzer, age 90, on December 31, 2009, 14 Tevet, 5770, in Danville, California. Mr. Meltzer was the loving father of David and Joel Meltzer and father-in-law of Susan Weinstein Meltzer, proud grandfather of Jourdan Meltzer, and uncle of Dara Ottley, Marc and Karen Berger, and Dan, Michael, and Erica Dubno. Mr. Meltzer’s beloved wife Bernice passed away in 2002.

Lou Meltzer was a deeply caring, considerate, and thoughtful man with passion and energy for life who made friends of all who met him. His family and many friends will miss his warm guidance, engaging conversations, and deep and genuine concern for others.

A memorial service for Mr. Meltzer took place at the Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living, 4000 Camino Tassajara in Danville CA, 94506, on Wednesday, January 6, 2009 at 2:00 PM.

In memory of our father, those wishing to make a contribution can direct their donation to the “Special Needs Fund”, at Reutlinger, which serves to aid financially challenged residents of the Community by providing basic necessities and/or enabling them to engage in a variety of activities that they would otherwise not be able to afford.
